Germany is the “energy transition acceptance world champion” ahead of France and Japan, according to an analysis by the Agency for Renewable Energies (AEE).

The analysis shows that large majorities in key industrialized countries want the energy transition, according to AEE Managing Director Philipp Vohrer. The study focuses on the socio-political acceptance of renewable energy, in surveys from ten countries. The acceptance of individual technologies such as solar, wind or bioenergy plays a role here, as does the approval of certain funding measures.
